The first food truck integrated and culinary program for adults with diverse abilities! Get get paid to train!

In 2023 APD (Agency for Persons with Disabilities) rolled out Life Skills 4, which addresses employment/training. ProjectFREE immediately sought a way to expand and accommodate this opportunity for training and employment. In the coming months ProjectFREE will be unveiling it’s own food truck with opportunities for our clients to gain meaningful and accessible employment and training!

ProjectFREE is committed to implementing a Life Skills 4 program that will offer OPPORTUNITY and weekly PAID hours during the training cycle. Dignity, self-worth and being a contributing member of society comes to mind and people with disabilities have been left out for too long.

We will offer two shifts 7 days a week:

8 am - 2 pm

2 pm -8 pm

The goal of our expansion is to provide a sustainable income to a population that has been paid way below minimum wage legally for 35 plus years. The Food Truck program takes vocational training and employment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to a new level. Income producing opportunities allow our clients to be contributing members in the community and move out of poverty.

Life Skills 3

Our program frames itself around music, creative and performing arts as a vehicle for building competency and interpersonal skill, but we also acknowledge the importance of variety in experiences to build upon this development. Beyond Music, Art and Theater our. program includes things like physical fitness, academics, community service, outings (such as fishing, bowling, nature hikes, movies, and local festival events).

We are very excited to announce our up and coming fully operational broadcast: RadioFREE Gulfport. We will give our clients the opportunity to learn how to create content for, operate and DJ the radio station. We also aim to connect the community with local musicians, events, and other. good causes and be a informative, uplifting resource for people in the area.
