Waterford Freedom Academy

Waterford Freedom Academy

Freedom Academy is a nonprofit, private occupational school that will be located on the southeastern shoreline of Connecticut. It is a part of an integrated network that includes residential housing and various local community based businesses.

The academic program includes a Liberal Arts Curriculum that focuses on life skills, occupational skills, and vocational training. Upon completion of the required coursework and internships, the academy allows the students to choose from either a specified career Trade Certificate Program or Diploma Tract.

Because Freedom Academy will be approved by the Connecticut Commissioner of Higher Education, students will be able to apply for financial aide after requirements are met. Freedom Village is an all inclusive safe, supportive, independent living community where high functioning, intellectually and developmentally disabled adults will live, work, and play. Project Free will create and offer job opportunities for its residents and students, as well as individuals from the community.
